Property developer Landvetter Logistik Center, which is jointly owned by Bockasjö and Swedavia, is building two new logistics properties at Airport City Gothenburg, right next to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. The company has also signed leases with Dawa Däck and Rajapack, for a total of 33,000 square meters.

“Interest in logistics establishments at Airport City Gothenburg is high, as shown by the contracts that have now been signed with Dawa Däck and Rajapack.  The logistics park has an outstanding location that is near the airport, Gothenburg, and the major road networks, E6 and national highway 40, which connect strategic logistics areas like Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. Negotiations are also underway with several other tenants,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö and CEO of Landvetter Logistik Center AB.

One property is about 23,000 square meters; its construction will begin in spring 2019. The property is fully rented in a long-term lease to Dawa Däck, which has decided to coordinate three of its current warehouses. The building is expected to be finished in summer 2020.

The other property has 21,000 square meters of leasable space and its construction will begin on October 1 this year. A lease has been signed with French packaging group Rajapack, a European leader in packaging. Rajapack is leasing about 10,000 square meters in a long-term lease and will coordinate its current operations in Sweden and the warehouse in Norway in the new property.

“We had several options from which to choose when we decided to coordinate our three existing warehouses into one new warehouse. We chose to lease from Landvetter Logistik Center, which could offer competitive terms combined with its location near Gothenburg and the infrastructure surrounding Gothenburg Landvetter Airport,” says Group CEO Anders Hedin Invest AB, who owns Dawa Däck AB through Klintberg & Way Group AB.

In 2015, Bockasjö and Swedavia formed the joint venture company Landvetter Logistik Center AB. A plot of about 170,000 square meters, west of the entry road to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, has been prepared for the construction of three to four new logistics properties with a total leasable space of about 100,000 square meters. The new logistics park is part of Airport City Gothenburg, the airport city with warehousing and logistics operations, offices, hotels, retail and workplaces, which is being built in direct connection to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.

The logistics park in Airport City Gothenburg encompasses three or four buildings, depending on the configuration, with a total leasable space of 100,000 square meters.
