Platzer and Bockasjö welcome Volvo Cars as the first tenant at Sörred Logistikpark in Torslanda, Gothenburg Municipality. The lease agreement runs for 10 years and has a ‘green’ annex, and comprises 22,900 m² of commercial premises in a newly developed logistics building at the Sörred 7:21 site.

Platzer and Bockasjö have signed an agreement with Volvo Cars to lease 22,900 m² of commercial premises in a newly developed logistics building through their shared JV company – Sörred Logistikpark. The lease agreement runs for 10 years and includes a ‘green’ annex. The logistics building will be environmentally certified in line with BREEAM-SE Excellent and will be equipped with geothermal heating with heat recovery and a 500 kW photovoltaic system. The expected handover date is 1 March 2023, with earlier access to certain storage spaces on 15 December 2022.

“Sörred Logistikpark is officially underway. We are looking forward to building one of the most sustainable logistics buildings in the industry on behalf of Volvo Cars. This is our first project under our JV company. With approximately 105,000 m² left to develop in Sörred Logistikpark, we are ready to meet the market’s demand for modern logistics facilities close to vehicle manufacturers and the Port of Gothenburg,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö.

For Platzer, this means that the company, together with Volvo Cars, has decided that Volvo Cars will be based at Sörred Logistikpark instead of the Syrhåla 3:1 property.

“We are very pleased to welcome our first tenant to Sörred Logistikpark. Through this arrangement, we have, together with Bockasjö, made it possible for Volvo Cars to establish a long-term presence at Sörred Logistikpark. At the same time, we are making the land at Syrhåla 3:1 directly adjacent to Volvo Cars and Northvolt’s new battery factory available for future projects with Volvo Cars or other interested parties,” says P-G Persson, CEO of Platzer.
