Bockasjö have signed a contract with Ellos Group to build a new logistics centre at Viared in Borås. Ellos Group will collect the bulk of its Home business in the new logistics centre.

Ellos Home is Ellos’s own brand of home decoration products and textiles.
Operations will now be coordinated in the new logistics centre, previously they were spread across five different locations.
The property will be erected in two stages. Stage one comprises a leasable area of 34,650 square metres. An additional 18,200 square metres can be added to the building, provided Ellos orders the option of extension enabling this expansion. The property will be ready for the tenants to move into in the autumn of 2019.
The property is being built according to the Green Building standard and certification will be obtained after it is built and in use.
Bockasjö acquired approximately 95,000 square metres of land from Borås Municipality for this building.
Bockasjö is in a period of strong growth. In 2018, Bockasjö completed a total of five new logistics properties with a leasable area of 110,000 square metres located in Västerås, Örebro and on Hisingen.

“We are looking forward to having Ellos Group as tenants. This project is a prestigious one for us, and we are proud Ellos chose us as a partner,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö.

“Demand for logistics buildings is increasing greatly. This is partly due to increased e-commerce, as the project with Ellos Group shows, but also due to the phasing out of older buildings which are replaced with new ones,” says Joakim Hedin.

“Well-functioning and efficient logistics are crucial for meeting the strong demand and maintaining the high growth Ellos Group is expecting in home decoration. We have therefore chosen to make the major investment in a new logistics centre together with Bockasjö,” says Ellos’s CEO Hans Ohlsson.
