Bockasjö extends its ownership to include senior executives

With its registered office in Borås, Bockasjö Group operates in property development with a focus on warehousing and logistics, and manages the properties that the company builds and owns.
In order to secure the long-term development of the company and with succession planning in mind, a new company has been established under which future business will be conducted, taking over the Bockasjö name.
The ownership of the newly-formed company is extended to include four people from the management team: Olle Lundgren, Tomas Ivarsson, Daniel Parkhagen and Adam Ekdahl. The remaining 68% is owned by Joakim Hedin and Paul Frankenius.
The new owners represent important expertise in the areas of business development, construction, and finance, and have previously worked together within Bockasjö for many years. Joakim Hedin is appointed CEO of the new company.
The Board of Directors of the new company consists of representatives of the new joint owners as well as Joakim Hedin and Paul Frankenius. Attorney Lars Söderlund is appointed Chairman of the Board.
Bockasjö has successfully been one of the major operators in the construction of new logistics centres at strategic locations in Sweden since its establishment in 2004. In 2020, the construction of six new logistics facilities will be completed at locations such as Landvetter Airport and Hisingen in Gothenburg, and Rosersberg in Stockholm County. These six properties have a leasable area of 165,000 square metres.
Recently, a new joint venture with Platzer AB was announced, where the jointly-owned company will build six new logistics properties on Hisingen. The leasable area to be constructed will total 135,000 square metres. Hisingen is by far the most interesting logistics area in Sweden as it neighbours the Port of Gothenburg with its large flow of goods passing through, and is the largest port in the Nordic region.
“With this change in terms of ownership, we create opportunities to ensure the long-term, stable and positive development of our business concept – to build, own and manage larger logistics properties in Sweden. The new part-owners have demonstrated their expertise and ability to carry out large and complicated projects over many years, so it is with great pleasure that we can today announce these positive changes to Bockasjö’s ownership,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO.
