Press releases.

Bockasjö AB will build two large logistics properties totalling approximately 60,000 m² on land acquired in April this year, located near Arlandastad on the E4 north of Stockholm.

A long-term lease has been signed with Schenker Logistics AB which already has operations in the area for the 31,000 m² property. The other property, which is around 30,000 m², will be adapted for more tenants. Negotiations are underway with several tenants who have shown interest.

The investment in these two properties will amount to approximately SEK 500 million. Construction will begin in autumn 2012 and move-in is expected in autumn 2013.

The buildings will be environmentally certified according to Green Building, which means energy consumption will be 25% lower than the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s building regulations (BBR). The facilities will be built to reduce consumption of electricity and heat.

The properties will be owned by Bockasjö AB, which specializes in building, owning and managing large logistics properties.

This month, construction of a 30,000 m² logistics facility located by the northern entry to Helsingborg will be completed. As well as this, the addition of 18,900 m² to the logistics facility at Landvetter Airport which Schenker Logistics AB is leasing will be completed. The facility at Landvetter Airport will comprise 51,000 m² after the addition.

“We’re happy about Schenker Logistics AB’s expansion and need for more space. It’s inspiring to get to work with such a professional player,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö AB. “Interest in setting up operations in the area is high; therefore, we’re choosing to build both of the properties at once and thus achieve economies of scale.”Negotiations are underway with several potential tenants,” says Joakim Hedin

“Stockholm is a very interesting logistics area with major potential and many business opportunities,” says Mats Olsson, CEO of Schenker Logistics AB. “The property will have a strategic location on the E4 and near Arlanda Airport, which suits us and our customers brilliantly,” adds Mats Olsson. “Bockasjö is doing an incredibly good job and our collaboration is exemplary; we therefore look forward to expanding our partnership,” says Mats Olsson.
