SCHENKER LOGISTICS AB EXPANDS – PROPERTY AT LANDVETTER AIRPORT CITY EXTENDED

In November 2011 Schenker Logistics AB moved into its new property at Landvetter Airport City. The property, built and owned by Bockasjö AB, comprises 31,540 m² of rentable space. The entire property is rented by Schenker Logistics AB under a long-term agreement.

The property is now being extended by 18,900 m² and will include a total of 50,440 m² of rentable space after the extension. The extension was added because Schenker Logistic AB signed an agreement with Intersport to store and handle its range for the Swedish market.

The property is owned by Bockasjö AB, specialists in building, owning and managing larger logistics properties. Schenker Logistic AB is part of Deutsche Bahn Group, one of the world's largest logistics and transport companies.

“We are delighted about Schenker Logistics AB's great expansion. It's inspiring to collaborate with such a professional player, “ said Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö AB.

“Being able to expand the business after just three months is very encouraging. The agreement with Intersport means that we will recruit about 40-50 people,“ says Mats Olsson, CEO of Schenker Logistics AB in Sweden. “Bockasjö does a great job and our cooperation works perfectly,“ adds Mats Olsson.

Business Park Landvetter will open on 23 April. The extension will be completed on 1 September this year.

The building is planned to be environmentally certified according to the Green Building standard, which means that energy consumption is 25% lower than the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s building regulations (BBR). The facility is built to reduce the consumption of electricity and heat.
