Bockasjö AB buys Hööks Hästsport's property in Viared in Borås for SEK 80 million. At the time of the takeover, a long-term lease agreement was signed with the seller.
The property, which totals 13,300 m², contains shops, offices and the central warehouse for Hööks Hästsport AB, which today has 26 stores of its own in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
The property will be certified according to the Green Building standard. This standard was launched in 2004 by the EU Commission in order to provide energy-efficient buildings with a quality label. The programme is voluntary and calls for streamlining energy use in buildings in one or more technical aspects. The criteria for the Green Building label include reducing energy use in the property by 25% compared to the requirements of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s building regulations (BBR). One of the goals of the Green Building standard is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
All of Bockasjö Group's newly built properties are built according to the Green Building standard.
"Höök's property at Viared is in a superb location and can be seen clearly from the motorway – so we are pleased to be able to incorporate this beautiful property into our portfolio. Having a closer cooperation with Hööks Hästsport AB, who are one of the most skilled in their sector, feels exciting,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO at Bockasjö AB.
“We are selling the property at Viared to transfer the responsibility for this to experts in the field and to provide space for a faster expansion. We currently have 26 stores and the plan for the future is to open 4 to 6 new stores per year. Lots of other companies were interested in purchasing the property. We chose to go with Bockasjö AB because of their experience as owners of similar properties,” says Joachim Höök, principal owner of Hööks Hästsport AB.
The Bockasjö Group operates in property management, property development and asset management.
Hööks Hästsport AB sells products for riders, horses and dogs, both online and through their 26 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The company has a turnover of approximately SEK 250 million with good profitability. The company is owned by siblings Joachim and Maria Höök. For more information see www.hooks.se.
